The Colorado Seed Growers Association (CSGA) is seeking a Field Inspection Manager. CSGA operates under Colorado State University Seed Programs which is responsible for seed certification, seed testing, foundation wheat seed production, extension programming and Seed Technology Education course delivery. The program provides accurate, timely and high-quality seed analysis and certification services while continually striving for improvements in methods and technologies to assure success for the program and its stakeholders. CSGA is accredited by the Association of Seed Certification Agencies (AOSCA) and the seed laboratory is accredited as an USDA Process Verified Seed Laboratory as well as holds an accreditation with Association of Official Seed Analyst (AOSA).
The Field Inspection Manager supports the programs mission by overseeing quality certification field inspections, developing potential new opportunities to diversify certification services in arenas such as organic certification and/or phytosanitary certification under the National Seed Health System, while maintaining positive relations with stakeholders. This position administers, oversees, and directs field activities and ensures employees are following accreditation standards. This position is required to be in the field at least 50% of the time.
