Tour of Île d’Orléans
With close to 7,000 permanent residents, the island is dedicated mainly to agriculture, with very diverse types of production and an exceptional concentration in horticulture. The wealth of natural settings, dotted with remarkable examples of heritage architecture, makes for a striking and often moving symphony of landscapes.

Visit a chocolate factory, the Forge à Pique-Assaut blacksmith shop, a berry farm, an orchard, a market garden and the lookout tower at the tip of the island.

– Lunch at Café bistro de la plage.

Excursion 2 (space limited)
Leaves from hotel at 8:30 a.m., returns 4:00 p.m.
Tour of the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica
Each year, more than 1.5 million Catholic pilgrims and other visitors come to the Sanctuary at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré for a moment of inner peace, contemplation and prayer. The Sanctuary, which celebrates its 350th birthday in 2008, is one of the oldest such pilgrimage sites in North America.

Tour of Grosse-Île and Quarantine Station. Now a Parks Canada National Historic Site, Grosse-Île was for many years off-limits to visitors and shrouded in mystery. This tiny island was a way station for four million immigrants between 1832 and 1937, who were quarantined there to counter the spread of disease.

– Lunch on site
